Fourth Annual Immigrant Heritage Month Kicks Off in New York City

“Hamilton” Star Javier Muñoz, Piper Perabo, Ana Villafañe, and Dean Obeidallah among stars who joined new “I Stand With Immigrants” campaign in New York City

Washington, DC – June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and “I Am An Immigrant” is hosting pop-up experiences and a series of events around the country to celebrate and lift up the critical contributions of immigrants in our communities. Celebrations kicked off in New York City this past weekend, with participation from thousands of people including “Hamilton” star Javier Muñoz, Piper Perabo, Ana Villafañe, and Dean Obeidallah, among others.

In just five days, more than 17,200 people participated in the conversation on Twitter using Immigrant Heritage Month hashtags (#IAmAnImmigrant, #IStandWithImmigrants, #IHM2017 and #ImmigrantHeritageMonth), resulting in over 200 million impressions on social media.
